Visit venmo.com and sign in to your account to review your recent transaction history. Look for a payment or transfer that matches the date and amount of the VENMO* charge on your bank statement.

Match the charge to a specific transaction

In your Venmo activity feed, identify whether the VENMO* charge corresponds to a payment you sent to another user or a transfer fee associated with an instant bank transfer. Venmo charges a small percentage fee for instant transfers, which would appear as VENMO* on your statement.

Review your Venmo payment settings

Go to venmo.com/account to check your linked bank accounts, connected cards, and transfer preferences. Make sure all payment methods listed are ones you recognize and that no unauthorized accounts have been linked to your Venmo profile.
